GENETIC INFORMATION:
Co-dominant (dominant no super has been proven TD)
FIRST FOUNDED:
BHB enterprises 2001 (Brian Barczyk)
DESCRIPTION:
Pins are light in color similar to spiders. Their bodies are typically a shade of yellow varying to tan. They have thin bands that run across their dorsal, sometimes they connect to their side flanks others are sometimes reduced in pattern and the pin-striping mainly stays high on the back. They have clear bellies with little pattern. Pinstripes have been bred into many designer morphs over the past several years, to date there have been no records of a super pinstripe being produced which makes it very similar to the spider gene (which in super form is thought of to be a fatal gene with none of the super spiders surviving. The only way to prove if an animal is in fact a super would be to breed him or her to a "wild" animal or another genetic morph (not pinstripe) and record the results. If after numerous clutches all the offspring were to be pinstripes then that animal could be called a super pin.
OTHER NAMES:
CURRENTLY KNOWN CROSSES:
Pinstripe pastel, pinstripe super pastel, pinstripe albino, pinstripe mojave, pinstripe ghost, pinstripe lesser, pinstripe butter, pinstripe yellow belly, pinstripe pied, pinstripe spider, pinstripe bumble bee, pinstripe killer bee, pinstripe calico, pinstripe cinnamon, pinstripe cinnamon pastel, pinstripe black pastel, camo, pinstripe caramel albino, pinstripe clown
