BALL PYTHONS
Species of pythons native to Africa, typically found in the Ghana, Bein and Togo regions. Full grown females can reach up to 6 feet and males are averagely seen around 4. Females are breedable at 1200 grams or more and males can breed at as small as 400 grams. Ball pythons get their names from the tight bunch of coils they make when scared or nervous. Daytime temps can range from 75-85 degrees with a constant basking spot of 90. Night time temps can be dropped by 5 degrees. Ball pythons typically breed in the winter months laying eggs in early spring, there have been accounts of breeders breeding in off seasons. Clutch sizes are commonly seen between 4-6 eggs for females, larger clutches of 13 or more have been documented.
